I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
